    Original Cat Plush
    by ~professoroak on deviantART

For those who watch me here and not on DA (which are probably not many), I'm trying to spread the word about my original cat plush.  I'm open for commissions to make them.  Contact me for details.

    Jobless again...
Just great... I'm now in the Jobless Pool... Mainly because the client I was working for found someone who (also) needed a job and decided to have them over me, although I've been working for her for nearly two years.  And getting another client isn't going to happen anytime soon since most clients seem to need someone who has a car of their own, and I'm a full time pedestrian/bus rider.

    Help wanted with an idea
I was thinking about posting this in the site plugging area, but I'm not quite plugging a site (yet). If this belongs somewhere else, I apologize and feel free to bop it on over to where it might belong. Anywhoo...

I'm making some in-game modifications to a text based web site game called Legend of the Green Dragon (LoGD for short) to make it more Sailor Moon universe based. There's only two parts that I have ideas for, but even in at least one of those parts, I'll need a bit of help.

    Glamorous Kitties
Some time ago I'd sent away to enter a free contest for a DS game. I didn't win, but they sent out a free magazine. There was one article caught my interest. I don't know why I couldn't get a non-fuzzy pic of it, but I re-added the caption that stood out...

    Another Christmas Wishlist
Yet another Christmas wishlist, 'steps/rules' swiped from another friend. :)

    Step One:
    - Make an LJ post, public or locked. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. These wishes can be anything, from simple and fandom-related (a fic written about your favorite pairing), to medium (a DVD you want), to really extravagant (a brand new car). Just make sure these are wishes for things you really, truly want.

    - If you wish for real life things, like a DVD or CD, make sure you include some sort of contact information in your post. It can be your address or your email address as long as Santa (or one of his elves) can somehow get in touch with you. ;)

    - Make sure you post a version of these guidelines in your LJ, because it's important that the holiday joy will spread.

    Step Two:
    - Skim through your friend's list (or the brand new friends of friend's list, or random journals) to see who has posted their list. Now is the most important part: if you find a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make that person's wish come true. Sometimes your trash is another person's treasure! If you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or you even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - give it to someone who wants it.

    Step Three:
    - Post this, in your LJ, any time after November 1st. Then repost it two weeks before Christmas.

    Step Four:
    - You don't need to spend money on these wishes to make them come true. Only spend money if you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf. It's to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not. It's all up to you. :)

    - There are no rules for this project, nor are their any guarantees or any strings attached. Just wish! *saves you from me singing "When You Wish Upon a Star* Your wish might come true! And give if you can. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday a special one. :)

    My Holiday Wish List:

    1. Tickets to go see Colin Mocherie & Brad Sherwood at the Wells Fargo Center for their 1 show only event in January and a way to get to and from the WFC (considering that neither me or my immediate family are drivers... unless you count 'driving people crazy' as a driver). Info can be found at http://wellsfargocenterarts.org/
    2. Someone to commission me for plushies.
    3. Artwork of just about any/all of my characters.
    4. Mrs. Santa Claus, Annabelle's Wish, Scrooged, The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause III: The Escape Clause and/or The 10th Kingdom on DVD
    5. Voice talent for my various characters without a 'voice'.
    6. Christmas Neopets Plushies
    7. 2nd - 6th books in the 'Power of Three' series of the WARRIORS books (paperback format preferred).
    8. Someone to buy up all the things I'm trying to sell off.
    9. Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul (or even the Dog Lover's Soul).
    10. More of my friends to join me in the same online games that I'm into... Like Conquer Online and Urban Rivals.

    Christmas Tree filled with Pokeballs
Okay... so it's my hand that it's on/attached to via the loop (not to mention I've yet to add the catch/latch thing) and only one pokeball... but I give you my first Pokeball ornament (made by me). I could probably come up with a pattern if anyone's interested in that. The title comes from one of the songs from the Pokemon Christmas Bash CD.

If anyone's interested in having some of these things, I'm willing to make them for $1 each (for the basic pokeball or $2 for more elaborate ones, like the Master Ball) plus S&H. All made in a smoke free home. Let me know if you'd like some.

Not so good week for me...
The site host/server where my domain is located goes down a few days ago. No advanced warning, no e-mail from admin saying what's going on (because the site going down, site admin's e-mail went down since it's all whatever @ sitedomain)... site comes back up and the back up site/server/ect is of an older copy of the site(s) and all mySQL databases aren't working at the moment. I attempted to contact the site host admin, but like I mentioned (and also this is how I found out) the databases are down, the e-mail didn't go through and all I got was "Error, mySQLs are screwy-louie/down, e-mail bounced... sorry but here's a copy of what bounced..." As if I didn't already have a copy of it. There is no other way to contact the site host admin other than through the site but e-mails don't work, the helpdesk doesn't work and the forums doesn't work (all for the same reason). I'm afraid to attempt to update in case something else happens. (Edited in after initially wrote: I was able to update to an extent. The only problems are the whole mySQL database thing and that logging into cPanel only shows some of the actual cPanel and a few things reverted to sometime before I added my Pokemon Fanfic site to the sub-domain stuff).

Then my client (who I work for two times a week and is my only source of income until I either find another job or my original first job calls and says they need me... though that's unlikely due to it being very slow) called the other day and had to cancel my second day of work because of being gone on that day (bad only because "No Work = No Money"). But on the bright side, I get to spend all Halloween dressed as Tigger.

On another note, I left this morning, my browsers were fine. I come home and find out that Netscape 8 spazzed out on my mom (and ultimately, on me) and all the bookmarks/settings were wiped and was set as default. Neither of us are sure how that happened (my mom's techie-deficient and I'm not all THAT much smarter in that field than she is). The only saving grace was that it still remembered the passwords stored (which this time, I had a paper backup as well) and that I still had a backup of the bookmarks, though it was an older copy so I may have still lost a few bookmarks.

I am not a happy Spoof...

    Custom Plush Commissions
Are you or someone else you know interested in having a customized commissioned plushie? I'm attempting to raise money to pay some bills by making custom plushies. I've so far made them with felt, and am expanding with Supple Suede. I can't show off my products really well since the only digital camera I have is the cheap-tastic digital camera key chain that takes fuzzy pictures (as shown below).

The base starting price is $35 plus the time it takes to complete the doll. The more detailed the doll, the higher the price. I take cash, money order and in some cases, paypal. Negotiations are always a plus.

    Wishlisting
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

    - If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

    - Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Borrowed this idea thingie from my sis. Contact-ability can be through slrxmas @ pacbell.net

    1) Visitors that comment in the guestbooks/contact forms/forums, enter my contests, answer polls (like the one where visitors help me decide whether I should do a comic or write a story for my anthromorphic tiger, Michi at http://michi.wellwishers.jlhost.net/) ect for any of my sites (like BOOS http://boos.usmanbiz.com/ , SCdC http://www.sailorchristmas.com/ and EE http://eclipse.boos.usmanbiz.com/ for example)
    2) Care Bears II: The Next Generation on VHS (a rare find indeed since it seems to be out of print anywhere except at Amazon.com)
    3) An active beta reader and/or suggestion/idea giver for any of my sites.
    4) A CD/Cassette tape of songs from the first two Care Bears movies (made a long time ago). In fact, I'm really just looking for one song, not sure the official title but a few site call it "Calling" and it's from the first Care Bear Movie... it's where BraveHeart Lion and LotsaHeart Elephant are 'calling' for the other cousins to help (We're calling for the gentle hearts to keep us company...And it would be a treat heart if you would follow me!) I'd even settle for an MP3 of just that song, though I doubt it's out there.
    5) The Sims 2 for GBA/PC (if PC version, I wouldn't mind the Holiday Edition)
    6) CD-Rs/CD-RWs
    7) Printer Ink (both black and color) for an HP DeskJet 932C
    8) Gift Cards to Copperfield's Bookstore, Borders Bookstore, grocery stores (if applicable), Target
    9) Some "Pampering" treatment (massages, facials, manicure/pedicure...in other words "STRESS RELIEF")
    10) Almost anything connected to Fruits Basket, Wolf's Rain, Cased Closed (Detective Conan??), Full Metal Alchemist, Sailor Moon, (Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon), Inu-Yasha (and help making a Kaede costume), Chobits, Tsubasa, xxxHOLiC, Care Bears (especially the Cousins)...

    I don't want much....just the world... :)

    Slackers Point Of View
(This is a little something I wrote nearly ten years ago as an English assignment to parody the 'To Be or Not To Be' soliloquy from Hamlet.)

To listen or not to listen: What was the question?
Whatever it was I sure didn't hear it the first time.
Or took heed when there was warning.
And by opposing I got sent out. To cut, to snooze--
Why not--and by snoozing I say who cares about
The headache and the many insistent teachers
That I am heir to. It's something
I wouldn't wish on anyone. To get bored, to snooze--
To snooze--perchance to daydream: yeah, that's it.
For in this snooze of boredom what daydreams may come
When I will have left this boring place,
I mustn't admit to have learned. That's the thing
That makes trouble become of my name:
For who would want the speeches and the 'you should know betters' of this time,
The teacher's despise, the popular guy's ego,
The hurt of broken up love, the delay of suspension,
The insolence of some staff, and the things
That go in one ear and out the other,
When he himself might his nap take
With his head on the desk? Who would want to do homework,
To think and write for a long amount of time,
But in the dread of finding out,
    Through others, an unreliable source,
From which rumors fly, gets our hopes up,
Only to find out that the project got a 'D'?
    This just proves us slackers,
And why we are viewed that way
Is brought over with the shadowy overcast of thought.
And why every excuse either good or bad
Will be disregarded and turned down.
And I'll lose my face in the crowd.
